Find Ancestors

I've recently had it confirmed that my mother's father was a Tom Walton. He never married my grandmother - who never married and remained single all her life. But he did pay a weekly sum towards my mother's care and he did this for 16 years.
When gran became pregnant she was working at Darrington Hall near Pontefract in Yorkshire. We had always understood that the father was a soldier who it transpired was engaged to another woman.
I'm struggling a bit because mum was born in 1920, gran was born in 1894 so this all happened between the censuses.
There is a very faint address on part of the paperwork I have received from the Archives which appears to say that Tom was in Heckmondwyke in 1935.
It would be lovely to locate any family.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how I could further this I'd be very grateful.

Do you have any indication about when Tom was born or died. Have you looked on the 1939 register to see if Tom was still on the area.

That's not the man I've posted about above, Malyon ( if that's what you're suggesting - maybe you're not!)

There are lots of WW1 Service Medal and Award Rolls records for men named Tom Walton - but not enough info to tell if one of them was that particular Tom from Smeathall, Knottingley.

Tom Walton born 1896 in Smeathall is on two trees on this site.

Six of the others all seem to have copied from each other, as none of them have his wife or children listed. "Unknown spouse".
The 11th tree is about Harriet Jackson's family, not the Waltons, so he's only on it as her husband, with no other info.
