Her sister, maybe I wrote it down wrong at the time, I do have my notes, put it straight in my tree after the phone call.

How reliable is the ‘source’ who told you the woman had died?

If the death isn’t on the official GRO site, you’re stuck

Is her husband alive?

I am wanting to order the death certificate for Patricia M Cook, born 2 March 1943, Bridgend, Wales.

Her birth entry from GRO Patricia M Cook, registered first qtr 1943, Glamorgan, Wales, mmn Richards, 11a, 1025. Her Mum was Eunice Richards, 1919 to 1978 (my great aunt).

Patricia married Brian Howe, Jan qtr 1961,bridgend, Glamorganshire, 8b, 177.

Her Father was Charles Cook, who I cant find anything on, yet, but that is something I will look at later, he lived with but did not marry my Great Aunt Eunice Richards, 1919 to 1978, sister of my Grandfather.

I was told Patricia died in 2013, to my knowledge she always lived in Wales, and died there.

The death is too late for Free BMD, I have looked at FMP, and Ancestry, and cant see anything. I also checked GRO without success.

I have ordered her birth certificate and marriage certificate, I should get those next week, but am stuck with the death certificate because I cant find the GRO reference number.

I would be most grateful if you could have a quick look for me, I don't need anything else, just the GRO number so I can order the death certificate.

As for Charles Cook, no one in the family can help me there apart from his name, so I may never get very far with him, I know nothing about him at all.

Thank you in anticipation.
