Death of Alice Eayres, 1861-19?? In Australia?

Not sure if anyone can help me find her death.

Alice was nee Warren, born Northamptonshire in 1861

She married Peter Eayres (as his second wife) in 1883 at Northampton St Giles

The marriage was short lived, they separated before 1891, and their two children were brought up by relatives on the Eayres side.

Census 1891 • St James Westminster, London, England
Age 30, cook, 8 Savile Row
Surname spelt Ayres.

Census
1901 • Shipley, Sussex, England
Age 40, living with sister Emma Willats.
Spelt Eayres.

After that, all I can find is several trips to Australia up to 1935. I know she is 'my' Alice, as the address she mentions on the passenger lists is 2, Powerscroft Road, home to the Hales family in 1911 through 1939. Gertrude Ethel Hales nee Warren is the illegitimate daughter of Alice's sister Ellen Warren..

ALL I want to know is can anyone find a record of Alice's death?

She was already c74 when she went back to Australia in autumn 1935 heading for Sydney, New South Wales.

Thanks

Can't find her in the UK either. Frustrating. Wonder if she was cohabiting out there under a different name, and just used her legal one for travelling...?

Just want to top and tail her.

Oooh, sounds painful!

For what it's worth, in 1935, the "intended future permanent residence" column says Australia.

The "Last permanent residence" column has a tick in the "other parts of the British Empire" column - presumably Australia.

I reckon she would have died in Australia, just a question of when. I'd just like to close her record as it were. I wonder what her life was like out there.

Thanks for the extra info alviegal :-)

She was definitely a widow by then, as the husband from her shortlived marriage died in 1913 in England. Her two children were brought up by her husband's family; he was 30 years her senior and they 'had' to get married, but it didn't last long.

In case you don't have it -

she's on the ER at various addresses over the years.

1930 - 4 George Street North, Darling Harbour, West Sydney
1931, 1933, 1934 - 22 Crows Nest Road, Crows Nest, North Sydney
1935 - 19 Denham Street, Bondi, Wentworth, NSW
1936 - 64 Johnson Street, Chatswood, Artarmon, North Sydney
1937 - 176 Avoca Street, Randwick East, Watson, NSW
1943 - 145 Sydney Street, Chatswood, Willoughby, North Sydney

In 1930, Alexander Richard Allan (stevedore) and Ethel Allan are also at 4 George Street North.
1931 - they're at 22 Crows Nest Road,
Still there in 1933, 1934, 1935, plus Alfred James Allan, dental surgeon.
1935, the three Allans are at 19 Denham Street.
1936, they're at 64 Johnson Street.
1937 - Alexander and Ethel are at 176 Avoca Street.
1943 - Alexander and Ethel are at 145 Sydney Street.

Presumably just close friends of Alice.

Alexander Richard is on 6 trees on Ancestry, born 1899 NSW.
None of the 5 public trees mentions a wife or child - which is presumably what Ethel and Alfred James were.
Two of them call him Alexander Russell Allan.
None of them have a death date for him.

However, he probably died in 1964 in North Ryde, NSW, and may have married Ethel Abbott in Sydney in 1911.
