Sorry - I can't send the articles (my son usually does it for me but he isn't here just now).

Walter was giving evidence at hearings about accidents in both articles but he was not injured himself.

In the first article a woman committed suicide and the second a young woman was killed in a collision between two trains.

Hopefully someone else can send you the articles.

Good morning all,

In 1881 Walter Townshend was recorded as an Invalid, in 1891 he was recorded as a Late Engine Driver.

The following two articles in Newspapers on FMP (I believe) relate to him and so I am wondering if he was injured in a train crash but unfortunately I don't have access to the actual articles so I would be grateful if someone with access to FMP Newspapers could please send or post the details for the following two articles:

Hastings and St Leonards Observer dated 20th August 1870 Title: BEXHILL covering Walter Townshend living at 1 Caves-road St Leonards

Morning Post London dated 30th August 1873 Title: THE RAILWAY COLLISION AT EASTBOURNE covering Walter Townshend a driver of 12 years standing

Thanks
