Member Since: January 2003 Posts: 251 Send Message	I am looking for some help please. Trying to find out more on William Ireland b. 1789 west heslerton, Yorkshire. I think his mother could have been Izabella Ireland, but not sure. William married Sarah Stork b. 1798 Nafferton. Sarah's parents, James Stork b.1765 harpham and Rachel Bean b.1778 Nafferton. I believe James' parents were James Stork b.1731 & Ann Wattson, and Rachel's parents were James Bean b. 1758 & Sarah Whope/Hope b.1758. This is all I can find out about them. If anyone can find out anything else, it would be most appreciated.

	From the records posted above, it looks as if William was born illegitimately (no father named on baptism record), and his mother Isabella later married William Humphrey. The fact that a Thomas Ireland happened to be buried in West Heslerton the year before Isabella married doesn't mean he was William's father - unless I've missed something amongst the records above. Could have been Isabella's father, brother - anything.
	Researching: Old genealogists never die.....they just lose their census.
