There is a baptism for Ann BiRd in Greenham in 1787 but no baptism for Ann BiNd so I would guess that the surname is likely to be BIRD.

Many thanks for looking, I think that their daughter Sarah was born in Greenham c1814. I will check with my local library when they reopen on the 4th Oct. as they have a transcription of the Greenham marriages.

The 1811 version is attributed to Berkshire FH Society and the 1812 to familysearch

Nothing coming up for a John Wheeler to Ann Bind or any other for a John Wheeler in Greenham 1811 +/-5 years

Nothing for an Ann Bind 1811+/- 5years

Looks as though someone has perhaps made a transcription error with surname Bind / Bird and year 1811/12 (possibly Parish register page headed 1811 and a change to 1812 not noticed by transcriber)

BOTH transcriptions are on FMP

I would think it unlikely that there were two marriages

A trip to the Records Office is probably the only way to resolve the query accurately

Hi,

FMP have the following two marriages for a John Wheeler in Greenham Berkshire

John Wheeler + Ann Bird in 1811

John Wheeler + Ann Bind in 1812

the familysearch website only has the marriage for John Wheeler and Ann Bind on the 20th October 1812 so I was wondering if the two marriages were for the same couple recorded twice, being unsure of the spelling of the brides name but with a typing error in the year of marriage so would be grateful if someone would take a quick look and see if the date for the marriage of John Wheeler and Ann Bird is recorded as 20th October.
