Unable to find Florence Lydia Vallins nee Wood in the 1921 Census;
She was born 30 Jan 1879 Sundridge Kent. Married William Vallins on 26 Apr 1905 Riverhead Kent. They lived above their fruit shop at 40 London Road Sevenoaks Kent.
William died in 1918 and in that year he was in partnership with a Mr Moorlen and the shop was now called Vallins & Moorlen and was at 40-42 London Road.

In the Sevenoaks Chronicle 19th Dec 1919 advert says The shop is closing down but business will carry on at the other shop at 102 High Street Sevenoaks. in the same paper on 2nd Jan 1920 H. Vallins (Florence brother in law) has now taken over at 102 after over 2 years as manager.

Florence died 17 Feb 1966 Sevenoaks. I have found her in the 1939 Register but it has been transcribed wrong to find it you have to enter Florence P Vallins born 1849. The original is correct.

Any help that you good people can find please.

Try looking for variants of the surname - or search using just forename and birth year

Have you looked at the address as per 1939?

Yes the address in 1939 she is living with her older sister and husband

She’s Florence Lydia Quennell on 1921 transcription. Found by searching as per advice above

Florence Lydia "Quennell" is living with Stephen Ernest, Emily, and one other in 1921 - so definitely the right person with name mistranscribed.

Researching:
Old genealogists never die.....they just lose their census.

aslo one as Quennell? Sevenoaks and bn 1879?,maybe it should be Quinnell.


also listed is Albert and Albert C,

be variant with the surname and YOB as errors are made.

could she be with a son or daughter ?

This is the correct one shown as Sister in law correct but surname as Quennell instead of Vallins Thanks to all for your help.
