Hi All, the name Jonathan Stokes & his son John Allen Stokes were taken from a 1822 map of Wordsley Staffordshire, they owned lots of land in/around Wordsley, they were in the Iron Trade i think.
I can find no ref to them or on 1841 census, looked on sites & papers from 1800 onwards no joy.
The one thing i do know is by 1870s much of the Wordsley land was sold.
