I am trying to find anything at all about this lady. Her last known addrress was in Turiff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
My cousin will be visiting the area in the summer from the USA and would like any information about this lady who she believes is a relative.
The last contact with her was in 1976 via a letter to my cousin's family.
It is believed that Ann had a son named Robin.
Any help woulld be appreciated.
Thanks for reading.
Regards, Harpist.

Harpist

You have given no idea what sort of age you think Ann or Robin would be. This would greatly help those with experience of Scottish research.

The Electoral Rolls have one entry for an Annie Hendry at a Turriff address until 2007.

Is that the one you mean?

She was estimated to be over 75 at that time.

There's this possible death:

HENDRY [ also listed as Duncan ]
ANNIE
84
mmn LESLIE
2007
314/ 70
TURRIFF

Possible marriage:

DUNCAN ANNIE
HENDRY JOHN
1944
247/ 17
Turriff

A Robert Hendry was born in Turriff in 1952.
I can't tell if he's Annie and John's son or not, without seeing the birth cert, but it looks a good possibility.

There's no sign online of the 2007 address having been sold .
However, looking at it on Streetview, it looks like a council-owned property purpose-built for an elderly or disabled person, so she was probably just renting it.

Thank you all for your replies, it all looks very helpful.
I'm sorry that I couldn't give an age as I wasn't given that information.
However I can hopefully find out more with everyone's help.
So a very big thank you all. I'm sure my cousin will be very pleased.

Kind regards to all,
Harpist.

You (or your cousin) can view and print the marriage cert on Scotlands People website for 6 credits.

https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

It's free to do a basic search, though you have to register.
Minimum purchase of credits: 30 credits for £7.50.

The marriage cert will tell you the full names of both her parents.

The death cert can't be viewed online as it's too recent, but you can order a copy for £12, on the SP website.

Once you know her parents' names, you can find their marriage cert.

Her birth will be harder to pinpoint, as there were seven Annie Duncans without middle names born in 1922 in Scotland - two of them in Aberdeenshire - assuming that's where she was born.
Also one Anne in Aberdeenshire.

You'd have to buy the birth certs in order to see which one was the right one.
