My husband, Tom, is trying to find his father LESLIE ROBINSON but has very little information. His mother was Margaret O'Hanlon born 14/1/21 in Dublin. She lived and worked in the Junior Carlton Club in St. James's London SW1 in the 1950s.. Tom was born on 5th April 1953..
Margaret said that when he was born Leslie came to see his baby at the old Charing Cross hospital near Trafalgar Square which was demolished some time ago; She told Leslie to go away, so he did. That was the last he ever saw of him. His mother also told Tom that Leslie was Scottish and Tom's DNA results show that he 45% Scottish, so that fits in.

Tom is now 69 and feels that someone, somewhere must know who his father is and would also like to know if he has any half siblings. Any information that is given would be gratefully received. He did the Ancestry DNA test a couple of years ago but this does not show up any connection to a Leslie Robinson..

Thank you in advance from both of us. Regards Thelma Doyle..

IF he was indeed born in Scotland, there's this birth in 1920:

ROBINSON
LESLIE
M
1920
689/ 494
Inveresk and Musselburgh

There are other Leslie Robinsons (all with middle names) registered in other places in Scotland in 1922, 1923 and 1927.

If you think that 1920 birth could be the right one, you can register with Scotlands People, and spend 6 credits to view and print the image of the original birth cert.
(Minimum purchase of credits: 30 credits for £7.50.)
https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

The birth cert would tell you the names of both his parents, and the date and place of their marriage.
Of course it wouldn't prove he was the right Leslie Robinson!

Possibly the death of that 1920 Leslie (you'd have to buy a copy of the death cert - £12 via Scotlands People - too recent to view with credits):

and his parents' marriage (viewable with credits) :
