Could anyone help please. I'm trying to find more info on
Thomas Evans b. 1867 Liverpool, he married in 1892 to Annie Cross b. 1875 heswall.
I've found them in the 1901 census, but cannot locate a birth.

Thomas's parents where John Evans b. 1844 Mold, he married Margaret Jones b. 1845 Llanddeiniol, Anglesey. Not sure when they married, but cannot find birth for them either and only found them on the 1881 census.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Have you checked out all the Thomas Evans born in Liverpool on www.freebmd.org.uk?

There are several possibles. Don’t forget that if you took the birth year from the census it could be at least a year out. Use the same site to look for the rest.

There are options for all 4 births on freebmd but it is a huge task with those surnames.

Added: three people apart from yourself have a Thomas Evans 1867 Liverpool in their tree. Go to Search/Search all members trees and try all four of your names.

As there were no penalties for not registering births until 1875, his may simply not have been registered.

Buy a copy of the marriage cert to find out if he knew his father

How have you decided who his parents were without having found - with absolute certainty - a birth registration?
