Find Ancestors

Looking for any info on Frank.1921 census states he was born in Scarborough,Yorkshire & is aged 31,married,& living in Warrington.1939 register gives his DOB as 7th April 1891 & living in Warrington with his wife-Elizabeth,& children..I can't find any birth record.He died in 1947 in Warrington.Can't find him on 1901 or 1911 censuses either.

Any help would be appreciated.

He was a Soldier.............so no certainty about his origins, and the marriage wasn't CofE, so no way of seeing record online.

You will almost certainly have to purchase a copy of the cert...........to find out whether he gave a father's name

I can't find a birth for him in Scarborough in 1890 or 1891.

His death registration matches 1939 register as far as age is concerned, but that would be only 'as known' to the informant. 1921 suggests an 1890 birth

He's a builders labourer on the 1939 register.

Could this be his birth? I know the Quarter doesn't match an April birth ( as per 1939 reg) and the year is obviously out from other records.

Checking freebmd for births surname Allan in Scarborough against GRO for mmn, between 1885 and 1895, mmn include Newton, Warters/Waters, Seaman/Sedman, Beattie and 1 with no mmn. There looks to be enough gap between any with the same surname for Frank to fit in.

Possibly born elsewhere and moved to Scarborough when v. young and thought that was where born.
or
If he followed his Father into the Army, then family could have moved anywhere
