My mother's maiden name was Cording and one of my cousins is John Cording the actor.

I was watching Robin Hood the other day (the Errol Flynn one) and Harry Cording is in it as Dickin. I wanted to see if there is any connection to my branch.

A quick Google gives his date of birth as 26/04/1891 in Wellington, Somerset - I know there are Cordings from Wellington. And his name at birth as Hector William. But I can't find a registration to fit. He moved to the USA and became a naturalised citizen. On his papers he gives hid DOB as 29/04/1891 and his birthplace as Portsmouth. But still can't find anything.

Any pointers would be great!
