Hi.

I have a John Tippett of Probus marrying Mary Ann Johns in 1845. In ensuing census he is listed as a tin AND copper miner. He was born in 1814 and Mary Ann in 1820. Firstly, according to the OPC, he was a widower when he married - I'm struggling to find his first marriage (his father was also John).

Secondly, from his second marriage, he had the children, all born in St Erth: Ancelina (Selina)(born 1847), Mary Jane (1852), Jane (1853), John (1854), Anne (Annie)(1859), James (1861) and Mary (1871).

Mary Ann marries in 1874, John marries in 1874 and dies in 1877, Anne marries Samuel Johns, James dies aged 10 months and Mary dies aged 1.

This leaves Ancelina/Selina and Jane, both unaccounted for after 1871 census....

Can't seem to find a marriage or death.

Can anyone help please?

Phil

Thank you
