Hi. Struggling yet again. My nieces Husband Ian N. Forcer b.1977,Hartlepool is wanting to look further back on his Family Tree. His Father is Ian W b.1958 at Hartlepool. Ian W Father is William, b.1933. There is apparently connections between Hartlepool and Sunderland for the Family. Any help to get further back would be very appreciated.
Yours again ,Terry L.

From the entry in the War Diary for the 21st March, 2nd Battalion were at Etreillers. 0450hrs the were ordered to man Battle Stations. 0635hrs, they had move to Roupy and were manning the defences. The village of Fluquieres was being shelled. During the course of the day there were two German attacks and more heavy shelling. 1700hrs, the Counter Attack Company, C Company attacked, heavy casualties, without success. It would appear that Percy's death was as a direct result of shelling, as he was reported wounded AND MISSING. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
