The Grand Jury returned no bill against William Hannabuss who was charged with stealing three blankets from his sister Mary Hannabuss

Now I don't have a William as a brother to Mary Hannabuss. More to seek I think.

Although only short, it has given you something else to ponder :-)

With same parents’ names…………..William baptised 1817…….plus Elizabeth 1814, Henry 1816, Henry 1819, and a Mary Anne 1825

I think I may have something wrong. I have her parents as Philip Hannabuss and Mary Ann Baker.

The Mary Hannabuss in the newspaper article is probably a different woman - not an uncommon name in Devon

The parents of the ones I mentioned were Henry and Mary….location Halberton

I do wish they didn't use naming patterns there's loads of Henry's and Mary's

Erika I was a Hannabuss so every Hannabuss is related to me somewhere down the line. I just wish they didn't have so many children.

The child Henry baptised 1816 was buried 24 March 1816 in Halberton

Parents married 20 June 1813…….Henry Hannabuss and Mary Sanders
