I am trying to find anyone who has knowledge of my great grandmother's family, from Wigan. Her name was Lily Davies, born in 1891 in Scholes, and she was the eldest child. Her siblings were: Billy (William) Davies - Believed to have had a son by the same name Martha Davies - married a man named Havelin Mary Anne Davies - married Joseph Halliwell in Ince, 1925 Peter Green - married Florence Taylor. Their parents were William Davies/Green, and Elizabeth Davies. There's confusion over why some of the children were known by both surnames, and it seems the parents weren't married but living together under her name. We have had contact with the family of Lily's daughter (my grandfather's sister) but know nothing of the other siblings. Thanks |
