JAMES CLARKE b. about 1896 died about 1981 He was married (Kensington 1921) to Elizabeth Marion Wood b. about 1896-7 in London. They had two children ALAN JOHN DENIS (b. 1922, Woodford Halse) and MARJORIE a couple of years later. James worked as a Clerk for the Railway and he was born in Barnes Surrey. Alan JD is my grandfather. Can anyone tell me anything about my Grandfather's parents? I also know that Elizabeth Wood's parents were called John and Elizabeth or could be Emma nee Denis. I think i have found the WOOD family on the 1901 census living in the london area with the children called John, Ernest, George, Elizabeth and Martha in age order. I would be most grateful if anyone could help. Regards Rachel Clarke |
