Member Since: June 2003 Posts: 2 Send Message	My grandfather, Herbert Harris, hailed from Somerset of farming stock - I have relatives surnamed Rogers - but for reasons best known to himself went to Oldham, Lancashire prior to or during the first world war. There he became a policeman. He married Elizabeth - sorry, don't know maiden or first married name. she had a son named Herbert from first ? marriage.
