HI,MY NAME IS ROWENA CHESTERS NEE MORRIS.I LIVE IN RAMSEY,ISLE OF MAN(BORN IN LIVERPOOL).MY G/GRANDMOTHER,EMILY-JANE KELLY FROM LAXEY,IOM MARRIED GEORGE OR CRAIG MORRIS FROM BUXTON AREA.THEY RAN A PUB (THE REST AND BE THANKFUL)ON MAIN ROAD BETWEEN RAMSEY & LAXEY,ABOVE MAUGHOLD.BELIEVED GEORGE BURNED THE ROOF OFF.THEY HAD 4 SONS (ONE DIED AGED 4)RICHARD(DICK),JACK & THOMAS NEILSON( MY GRANDFATHER).ALL WERE BORN IN LAXEY BUT THE 3 BROTHERS MOVED TO LIVERPOOL DURING THE 30,S.MY G/FATHER WAS KNOWN AS NEIL BY MOST.I BELIEVE RELATIVES STILL LIVE IN BUXTON AREA CONNECTED TO GEORGE MORRIS,FISHMONGER & ONCE MAYOR OF BUXTON.THERE MAY ALSO BE BERNARD MORRIS LIVING IN YORK AREA.MY MORRIS SEARCH IS IN THE DERBYSHIRE,MERSEYSIDE & YORKSHIRE AREAS.IT WOULD BE LOVELY TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO IS CONNECTED. |
