Looking for details of my mothers's first marriage. According to my mother who now has died, she was married at the age of 19 to an airforce pilot surname WRIGHT who went missing during the second world war. I haven't been able to find details of this marriage on the GRO indexes. It is possible her first husband was not British. My mum's name was Olive Kathleen Douglass born 6/11/23, Barnes, Surrey. Olive was brought up at Biscester Road, Richmond Surrey. She attended Sheen County Girls School and then Richmond County School. Olive worked as a telephonist and at one time worked at the Admiralty, London during the Second World War. Olive also had a baby boy who died. Any information gratefully received about this first marriage or about Olive |
