Valerie Smith. Trying to trace the Smiths / Claycross, Derbyshire. 20/10/04 The information I have is that John Smith b.1881 d.1928 aged 47. Interrred at Mansfield Woodhouse, April 24th 1924. Married Lillian Derbyshire. Lillian's birth date 16th Jan 1885? The information given to me states they were born and married in Claycross, Derby? I have not yet managed to trace them. John had two brothers Jack and William and a sister Alice. Jack adopted a boy Micheal and William had several children, one named Llewellyn. Alice went to America when she was 16 and later married Frank ? They owned a Boston Bus Co. Alice came back from America/Canada? and died in Doncaster, Yorkshire. John and Lily lived in Mansfield Woodhouse, Notts, and had eight children, Violet, William, Daisy, Harry, Alice, John, (Died when 4yrs old), Jessie and Joyce. I know its a long shot, but can anyone fill in the gaps it would be much appreciated. Many Thanks. |
