Norma Hill Hi Trying to find relatives of my father, all i've got to go on is his birth certificate. His fathers name was Thomas Hill born i think somewhere in South Wales and he was a Coal Miner.His wifes name was Lily Chambers. i should think they were both born about 1880-1890. My father William Leonard Hill was born in 1917 in Llanfoist Abergavenny and moved up to the Midlands when he was about 6 or 7 years of age after his father got killed down the pit. He had 3 brothers;- Thomas emigrated to Australia Alfred Gilbert and a sister:- May who stayed down there and spent her life living in and around Abergavenny and married a John Jenkins. |
