I am looking for any information with regards to my grandfather George William Jackson Born cc 1985 who resided at 2 Victoria Terrace, Old Penshaw then moved to No. 7 The Crescent, Shiney Row, County Durham. His place of work was the pit known as "Polly" or called the mill pit near Shiney Row. He was killed down the pit around 1943. He was married to Edith Jackson nee Hedley, they had a daughter named Irene May Jackson also other children. named John George Jackson, Born 4 April 1933, James Jackson who moved to stainforth, north yorkshire, Betty Jackson who lived near Newcastle upon Tyne and lily Jackson, no information on this person as yet. James Jackson is now deceased, but has a son called Brian and a daughter called Angela, both reside in north yorkshire. |
