Attemting to trace ALLEN in the PEMBROKE DOCK and PLYMOUTH areas. Great Great Gran = Elizabeth (Eliza) Ann Allen aged born approx 1861. Widowed at time of 1901 census. Eliza had 3 children; William Thomas Allen born c1886, James Allen born c1891 and Maud Louisa Allen born c1895. William Thomas Allen was my grandfather. He died in 1941 in Plymouth during the blitz at Portland Square. He was married to Florence Mary Allen (formerly Gregory) born c1890, died 1939. They numerous children including Ronald, Edwin aka Ivor, Percy, Barbara, Gordon Stanley - they were others whose names I cannot trace. Gordon Stanley Allen was my dad, born 1928 and died 1997. Would be grateful for any information if you feel any of these names are connected with your family. I'm particularly interested in finding more info on my g g grandfather. Best regards Gordon William Allen (born 1962) |
