I am looking for information about my great-grandfather William Brown(e), son of Charles Browne, born 1842/3 in Isle of Wight (?Newport). He married Ann Muldoon in Stepney in May 1869 and they were living at 2 Garth St Shadwell in 1881. He died in Shanghai in 1892 and was described as a boatswain. He had a son Charles born in Canning Town in 1876, and a daughter Sarah Ann, who was my grandmother, born in Shadwell in 1881. She was adopted about this time and moved to South Shields. Any information on any of the above would help to further my investigations about this side of my family. |
