William Martin born Wimbledon,Surrey 1820-1895 married Harriet Martin, had 5 children in Salehurst Sussex, Hadlow Kent and Portsmouth: Franncis (Frank),Samuel, Sophie, Olive and William Martin 1849-1922 who married Esther Ann Burgace, themselves having 10 children in Portsmouth: William, Harry, Harriet, Sophie, George, Albert, Esther, Maryann, Charles, and Charlotte all born in Portsmouth, living in and around Marylebone Street, Portsea. The family were romany gypsies and had occupations such as stonemasons, hawkers, labourers and cutlers. Would love to link up with anyone from the same family with anymore information. |
