As a result of going down the wrong path in my research, I have two certificates for BELL from Cumberland that I don't need: Marriage certificate, 26 February 1838, Crosscanonby, between : William BELL, "full age", carpenter, Maryport, son of George BELL, stone mason, Esther CROSTHWAITE, "full age", Maryport, daughter of John CROSTHWAITE, manufacturer of straw hats. Witnesses: John and Jane CROSTHWAITE. Birth certificate, 3 October 1842, Whitehaven: Jane BELL, daughter of John BELL, blacksmith, and Sarah BELL (formerly WALTON) of Chapel Street, Whitehaven. Free. First come, first served.
