Hey Rosemary,

its a long shot but my great great uncle (Earle J T Cook b.1881 Portsmouth) was married in West Ham to Lilian Gardner around 1912/13 (approx.)
He was the eldest child of Thomas Cook b.1853 in Portsmouth.
