Member Since: March 2005 Posts: 7 Send Message	I come from a long line of Browns who were coal miners or ironstone miners. Alexander born c1820 married a Jean Maxwell 31.12.1840.(if you have any Walter Maxwell Browns in your family it probably comes from this marriage).They were married Falkirk.Stirlingshire. Their son Alexander married Sophia Aitken at Mid Calder Midlothian. Sophia came from Glasgow area and they moved there. They had at least 10 children.Their son Walter Maxwell was my Grandfather.
