I have just started tracing my family history, and interested in hearing from anyone who may have further information on the family to share. John Walker married Elizabeth Law in 1804 in Port Glasgow Scotland. John, along with his children Archibald, William, Margaret, Helen, James, and Thomas emigrated to Australia. The family arrived in Adelaide in 1840 aboard the ship 'India'. One sibling remained in Scotland, her name was Elizabeth Walker. Elizabeth married John Watt(s) in Aberdeen and had two children James and Elizabeth. Margaret married John Craigie in 1984 in Albany Western Australia. Margaret and John had five children, Mary b Albany 1843; Jean/Jane b Albany; James b Adelaide; John b at sea; and Margaret b Adelaide 1851. I am a descendant of Margaret and John.
