I've just come across this message you left and I think I might have a connection - you may well have discovered loads since then, but here’s what I have anyway!

Robert John (senior) and Sarah Ellen Carney were married in County Durham, England in 1919 and had a daughter, Ellen Sarah (Nell) in 1921. They emigrated to Australia in 1923 and settled in Wonthaggi (they were listed in the Sand’s directory as living in Wishart Street) and I think that Robert was a miner.

If you think there’s a connection, please let me know as I’d love to hear from a potential family member - Robert John (senior) was one of my paternal grandfather’s younger brothers.

I am looking for family of robert john allen born 15/10/27 at wonthaggi victoria , australia. His father's name was also robert john allen and his mothers name is S.E. Allen( dont know what the S stands for or the E )...They had a daughter, whos name was judith ann allen, she was made wade of the state in 1956, dont know the reasons behind this except my dad and his first wife had seperated and my dad re.entered the regular australian army. I found that my dad and his dad lived at 21 Wishart St wonthaggi???? I obtained most of this info from my dads army dossier, but would like to know more especially if dad had any siblings ??? and the where abouts of his first child ( judith) maynot be her name now?? u can leave me a mess at d m gordon95 ( all joined together) at bigpond dot com.
