Hello! Apparently, somewhere down the line, my maternal grandfather is related to the one & only Robert Burns - as in poet/son of Scotland. For years, my mother & I have been trying to locate any material to prove this, but the only known handwritten family tree with his information was given (long ago) to another branch of the family. I don't know who or where they are and anybody here in the Sates who might possibly have answers is long gone (as far as I am aware). The last link I have is my great-grandfather's name and his birth and death dates are highly sktechy at best...but who knows - Daniel Lewis Burns born circa 1872, most likely in the Midwestern United States (Illionis), died circa 1961. I know it's a WAY long shot, if ANYBODY has ANY information on Robert Burns or his family, please, please, please let me know. Thank you way in advance for your help!!! |
