Looking for information on the Martin/Martins family from Ludgvan, Cornwall. Joseph Martin (1817c)married Mary Ninnes (1818c)in Gulval, Cornwall 1838. Children born in Ludgvan that I know of -Mary 1837c, Elizabeth 1842, John 1845, Charity 1847, Catherine Ann 1850, Joseph 1851, William Thomas 1855c, James 1857 and Eliza 1858. Elizabeth married William Henry Hosking, Charity married Richard Nicholls and John married Lavania? Mary Ninnes died in 1860 and Joseph Martin in 1867. Would be interested to find anything on this family as James was my great grandfather who emigrated to New Zealand in 1876 and we believe he had no contact with his family after leaving Cornwall. |
