thomas martin born 1844 brecknock was a police constable married magdalen. magdalen their daughter was born in neath they also lived in radnorshire and then in pontyprydd where he died in 1897 his widow lived in dyffrin street ystrdyfodwg pontypridd and was running a confectionersin 1901 census magdalen daughter married thomas fletcher for a short time lived in emporium cottage ferndale before moving to builth wells |

The eldest daughter of Thomas and Magdalen Martin was Mary Ann Martin , born in Brecon in 1865. In 1885, she married Herbert Henry Ball in Bristol. The next year, they emigrated to Canada. More can be found at: www.users.qwest.net/~mojito/ballfamily.htm |
