I am trying to trace my family tree on my mums side and I've hit a brick wall when I reach my great grandparents. William Bower (circa 1895) married someone called Ethel (circa 1895 - no maiden name known) and they had one son called Henry Bower (1921) who married Shiela Barratt (my grandparents). Due to Henry passing away in the early 1960's (long before I was born) I have no further information. I know Henry and Shiela lived in London, but I know she moved there during the war from Darlington so it is possible that the Bowers were also from 'up north' too! Can anyone help? |
