BENNETT FAMILY IN AUSTRALIA AND QUEENSLAND Trying to find out any information on the Bennett's in Australia. My maiden name is Bennett and my father's name was Alton Melvin Francis Bennett born 1939 in Brisbane Queensland Australia. He changed it by deed pole to Arthur John Bennett in 1970. He has 3 brother with his mother, Kelvin, Lester and Tony. Their surmanes are Drew, so I am not sure if they have same father or if he was adopted when his mother was a teen by her mother(name currently unknown. His mother was Esmi Margaret Ruth Bennett, I believe she was also born in brisbane. I know she had a number of siblings including a brother named Noel Bennett who lived in the Oxley area of Brisbane in the 1960's. There was a Bennett family reunion around the Dubbo area (I think), in NSW in the early 1980's. A family booklet was produced with the family history and geneology inside. If anyone has information about this booklet or the family could you please help me. I have reached a dead end and unable to go any further with his family. Any help would be greatly appreciated and shared with the rest of the family. I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters who are also interested in completeing the family tree.
