We are trying to find information on my paternal grandmother and her relatives. Her name was SARAH ANN LEWIS, she married a James Henry Hall September 1907, in the parish of Haggerston, East London. On the marriage certificate her age is given as 28. Her father's name was Henry Lewis, and on her marriage certificate it lists his profession as newsagent. The information in brackets may not be fact (Sarah's father might have been married twice and had a large number of children. Also we believe he did not approve of her choice of husband and might have been disowned. We think the family may have lived either Essex or East London but may have orginated from Wales). Sarah and James had three children, James, William and Lilian. Any help would be appreciated. |
