EDWARDS FAMILY OF NEWBURY, BERKSHIRE, ENGLAND I am hoping you can please find info for my gg grandparents family who lived in Newbury, Berkshire. I have some info from the 1881 Census but am hoping the prior or following Census' will confirm some discrepancies. William EDWARDS born Lyme Regis, Dorset England, Occupation Grocer aged 53 in 1881 Census Married Ada Alice EDWARDS born Woodhay Hampshire England aged 32 in 1881 Census Charlie Farr EDWARDS (son) born Newbury Berkshire aged 20 in 1881 Census Percy Spencer EDWARDS (son) born Newbury Berkshire aged 18 in 1881 Census Ada Mable EDWARDS (daur) born Newbury Berskshire aged 15 in 1881 Census Annie Belinda EDWARDS (daur) born Newbury Berkshire aged 14 in 1881 Census Emily Gray EDWARDS (daur) born Newbury Berkshire aged 13 in 1881 Census Katie P EDWARDS (daur) born Newbury Berkshire aged 10 in 1881 Census Henry Aubury EDWARDS (son) born Newbury Berkshire aged 8 in 1881 Census Mary Lizzette EDWARDS (daur) born Newbury Berkshire aged 6 in 1881 Census I have a birth certificate or Charlie Farr Edwards but it has a different mother on the Birth Certificate - Mary Ann Edwards formerly Smith. At the time of Charlie's birth registration in 1860 it says they were living at 75 Bartholomew St, Newbury and in the 1881 Census they were at 100 Bartholomew St. I am guessing that Mary Ann may have died as Ada Edwards would have only been 12 if she was his mother, not impossible I know but unlikely given the mothers name on the birth cert. Any info you can come up with for any of the family, including who Williams parents were, I would be very grateful for as this has been the hardest twig of my tree to unravel so far. I look forward to hearing from you :-) Bye for now Tracy (New Zealand) PS: Forgot to mention above that some of the family emigrated to New Zealand circa 1895, sorry I can't be more accurate but haven't been able to track down passenger lists for any of them so far.
