Valma Hick I am currently researching my grandmother Edna Doris Roberts (nee Tindall)'s maternal g grandffather George Martin b. Abt 1821 (possibly Lancashire, UK) George died. Sept 1925, Towamba,(near Eden, NSW, Aust. He was just shy of his 105th birthday.(His parents are given as James Martin & Sarah ? He was convicted of a crime in Lancaster and sentenced to 10 years. He was on the last of the convict ships to come to Australia 'Adelaide' late Dec 1849. He married Elizabeth Mary Hart b. Abt 1891. She died May 1910 - Aged 91 years (Her parents given as William Hart & Sophia ?)., Abt 1854/55, at St James, Cof E, Sydney, NSW, Australia. At present I am only aware of one child - Samuel b. Abt Mar 1854. Samuel died 22 Aug 1900, Towamba, NSW. He was married to Eliza Jane Dunn Abt 1882, Bega, NSW.Australia. Samuel and Eliza had a family of seven - Elizabeth A.S. Martin b. Abt 1883 - Eden George L.J. Martin b. Abt 1884- Eden Eliza A.M. Martin b. Abt 1889 - Eden Ethel Eunice Maud Martin b. 12 Apr 1890 - Eden (my g grandmother - maternal) .- married Charles James Tindall , 16 Jan 1907, Eden,NSW. Reginald W.J.C. Martin b. Abt 1895 - d. 1900 - Eden. Bernice A.I. Martin b. Abt 1897 - Eden James Raymond Martin b. Abt 1899 - Eden. I would like to make contact with any of George's descendants or relatives of his ancestors in UK.
