Hi I am hoping that someone will be able to help with a family mystery My Father in law John Jackson was born in Oldham 19/03/1937 to Mary Jackson formely Chadderton.He never new his father having been told he was dead. On getting His full birth cert father is left blank so I then sent for the marriage cert 29/8/1925 it came back Raymond Lawrence Seymour age 27 and Mary Chadderton 23 his job was commercial traveller.It has an extra column at the end ammended 4/2/1927 saying for Raymond Seymour read Edward Jackson for age 27 read 33yrs his father is down as Daniel Seymour cotton operative His name is not ammended but his occupation is changed to general labourer.I don't know where to go from here was he a bigamist and if so would they have ammended the marriage cert.please Help Lisa Jackson |
