Hello, I am trying to trace a John Johnson (spelt Johnston) on his marriage certificate to Frances McCarthy (spelt McCarthie on said marriage cert.). They married here in Australia in 1839 and had a son John William also born in 1839. I have been informed that John and Frances were the children of convicts sent to Australia sometime, I presume, between early 1800s and late 1830s. I am desperate for info as I can not go back any further with the Johnson line until I can locate these two. There is absolutely no details what so ever on their marriage certificate. Many thanks in anticipation. Irene
