Hi, I am trying to trace my Anderson line. Alexander ANDERSON and Ann Jane........ came to Australia from Salt Lake City, USA. I believe Alexander was born in Salt Lake City, but I have no proof of that. Their son Robert was the first white child born on the Turon Gold Fields - at the head of the Shoalhaven River, New South Wales, Australia in 1853. Robert had an older sister - Winifred who died in her early teen, or a little later. Alexander sailed back to America on business when Robert was a small boy, leaving his wife and children in Sydney, Australia. Ann Jane then received news that Alexander had been killed in America. Ann Jane remarried a Mr Atkinson and they had a son. Mr Atkinson lost his life when a fire burned down his saw mill and home. Robert went on to marry Margaret Mary DANIEL(S). Robert died in 1932 in New South Wales, Australia. Thanks for any help with Alexander and Ann Jane ANDERSON. Marg
