Looking for information FREDERICK HILL, or family. May have been born on 27 June 1911 (but doesn't check out with GRO) in or near Wythenshawe (Cheshire/Lancashire, south of Manchester), where his immediate family came from. His father married twice and Frederick was the only son of the second marriage. Frederick had an older half-brother in the navy who died during the war. Frederick was a naval engineer, rank of CPO, and was on class B release at Filton's engineering in Bristol in the late 1940's. His father was also in the navy and became a master baker when he retired.
