My Gt.Grandfather John Spence Ward married Emma Newby at Wigston Magna, Leic. in 1850. Three children born in England, Mary, Clara and Challis. The family moved to Philadelphia in 1860 and five more children born there: Sylvania, Emma, Hannah, Frank and Harry Spence. I have found Harry Spence in the 1820 U.S. Census and would like to make contact with his descendants or any descendants of his siblings in the U.S. John Ward remarried to my Gt.Grandmother Ellen Ratcliffe after he was widowed, and they had two more daughters, Edna and Ellen, my Grandmother. After John died, Ellen and two daughters moved to New Zealand. I would be very grateful for any information please. Thanks, Jan. |
