Hi Everyone, I'm looking for help on the Martin name(like so many others by the looks of things) As far as I can go back to I know of Thomas Martin born 1815, Heathfield(East Sussex) whom had two wifes, the first Mary A, the second Eliza. He had between the two women 12 children. One of them was Robert Martin, born 1857 in Lewes (again East Sussex) who lived in Lewes his whole life and had two wives. The first Sarah J died only after a year of marriage the second wife was Kate. They then went on to have three children, their eldest son Percival is my great grandfather. Percival was born a Martin-Cramp. I can only guess that Robert added the Cramp during his life. If anyone has any further information, even just where Cramp came from I would be very grateful for any information. Many thanks everyone. Carly. [email protected]
