Hi, I'm looking for my Aunt EDNA HARRIS born EDNA MARSHALL dob 16/05/1936. Not sure where the HARRIS family lived could be South. Natural Parents : HERBERT THOMAS MARSHALL who married my grandmother, approx 1930: WINIFRED MARY BAKER They had four daughters: Lilian dob 26/08/1931 Winifred Mary dob 15/08/1933 Betsey Elizabeth dob 05/02/1935 Edna (adopted name HARRIS) Winifred Mary Baker 1st married George Frederick WOODWARD in 1923). They had a daughter (my mother) Irene May Woodward dob 1929 All sisters where put into care 1935/6. EDNA was adopted but saw my mum again when she was aged 14 and is my godmother. The other sisters probably did not know of their elder sister's existences. They lived at Green Lane, Walsall before put into the care of Walsall Social Services. All sisters were split up. Mum was the eldest, and Five years old at the time. HERBERT THOMAS MARSHALL was a coal miner. |
