CHARLES RICHARD WRIGHT Searching for a possible first marriage of CHARLES RICHARD WRIGHT born 14th April 1898 Epsom, Surrey. Charles enlisted for WW1 underage (16 years old) serving as a despatch rider - regiment etc unknown. He was invalided out at some point following gas poisoning. When young he was very keen on horses and believed to either ride as an amateur jockey, or work in a stables on Epsom Downs. At some point he worked for the Post Office. It is believed that he married for the first time between 1919 - 1930 and may have had children. He possibly married a frenchwoman, as his children from his second marriage have french first names. He had an older brother Frederick James (b1894) plus an adopted brother George, who I believe became a seaman. I am related to Charles through his second marriage (grandson) |
