Laurence Wright. I have hit the brick wall as so many people say you do, and I just dont seem to be able to get any further. Benjamin Wright Born 1880 and married a Mary Clay also born in 1880 They had three children Edwin Harper Wright Born 1900 - Ernest Wright Born 1904 - and Wilfred Lawrence Wright Born 1908. There is links to Stockton on Tees ( Wilfred was born there ) - Tenbury Wells in Worcester - Coventry - St Albuns and Stoke. Benjamin Wright died in think sum where around 1940 and his wife Mary Wright nee Clay remarried a Fred Cockerill, I think he worked for Smiths Docks and they lived in Eden Street, Saltburn by the sea North Yorkshire running a small boarding house. Edwin Harper Wright never married was in the Merchant Navy and after leaving the navy carried on going to sea on cargo vessels, there maybe a possibility of children any where in the world he died in the 1960's ?. Ernest Wright also in the Merchant Navy married a girl named Linda Not sure of her maiden name or where she was born, maybe hers was the Coventry or Stoke or Tenbury Wells link. Ernest And Linda lived in Tenbury Wells around 1950 to 1960. They had one son John Wright was also in the navy and who Married a girl called Rosemary no maiden name yet they had two children Lindsday and Justin the whole family emigrated to Australia in the 1950's. In the 1960 Ernest and Linda also emigrated to Australia to be with there son and grandchildren, due to ill health they returned to england and to the Middlesbrough area, initally living with my father his brother till they purchased a property in Costa Street Middlesbrough, a few years later they went to live in Kindown Close in Stoke on Trent where he died. My father Wilfred Lawrence Wright also in the Merchant Navy left and came home to Saltburn in the early 1950's, and then went to live in Middlesborough to be nearer his work at Mallable Works in Stockton. Anyone having any details of any of this family please contact me. [email protected]
