Member Since: May 2005 Posts: 1 Send Message	I am Sheila Carr (nee Wood). Does anyone have the Wood surname in their family? Most of them were born in Crayford or Orpington, Kent. My father was William and had siblings - Rose (went to USA), Philip, Thomas (went to USA), John,Henry, all older than dad and Charlie (went to Australia) all dead now unfortunately.

Member Since: November 2008 Posts: 7 Send Message	Dear Sheila, my grandfather`s name was William George Wood from Lambeth.Born approx` 1901-02, died in the 1960`s.drove a steam engine, and was an air raid and fire warden in the war. married; Rosina Margaret lambert. had 3 sons; William George, (known as george), David Albert and Kenneth Wood. I was told that some of the family moved to Canada in the early 20th century. I don`t know if this is any help, as I`m also just starting to search for family myself, and haven`t got anywhere yet. Today`s my first time on here !! Cheer`s,Woody.( David William Wood ).
